Holistic Animal Studies: Making Animal Wellness Accessible

Sep 14, 2022
Holistic Animal Studies: Making Animal Wellness Accessible

Benefab® is thrilled to announce our new partnership with Holistic Animal Studies, the equine and small animal education platform that helps you learn different modalities to support your own animals or become a certified practitioner.

Holistic Animal Studies: Making Animal Wellness Accessible

Holistic Animal Studies, based out of Central Florida, offers online courses in Massage (Equine, Canine, and Feline), as well as Kinesiology Taping, Craniosacral Therapy, Reiki, and Body Alignment. They have students in 30+ countries and team members stationed in the US, Canada, and Spain—offering support in both English and Spanish.

The best part about their courses is that you, as a learner, can choose your path between learning tools that you can personally use at home with your animals, or you can decide to become a certified practitioner. Each of the offered courses are complementary to each other because together they create a holistic practice of natural wellness.

All courses are offered online and are approved through the International Association of Animal Massage and Bodywork (IAAMB), which has reciprocity in other countries, including, but not limited to Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom and New Zealand (note: every region has different animal massage laws, so it is important to look up your area's laws before practicing).

Introducing Dr. Angelique Barbara

Holistic Animal Studies is led by Dr. Angelique Barbara. Dr. Barbara—affectionately called Dr. Angel by many of her clients—is a lifelong animal lover and advocate who holds a Doctor of Chiropractic, as well as degrees in Veterinary Science, Equine Science, and Veterinary Pathobiology.

After developing her first animal bodywork seminar in 2009, Dr. Barbara’s seminars have grown in popularity. The scope and depth of her seminars have grown as well, as she consistently applies cutting-edge holistic science to her practices. In fact, Dr. Barbara was one of the early adopters of utilizing kinesiology tape on animals which led to developing an entire seminar dedicated to the taping applications that she used and developed.

Dr. Barbara has publications in the Journal of Veterinary Science and Microbiology, has presented her research at the Conference of Researchers in Animal Disease (CRAWD) and the International Equine Conference of Laminitis and Diseases of the Hoof, and is a member of Alpha Zeta Honorary Fraternity, American Quarter Horse Association, American Paint Horse Association, and French Bulldog Rescue Network.

How Benefab® and Holistic Animal Studies are Joining Forces

Benefab® and Holistic Animal Studies share a core mission of improving the lives of animals around the world.

What’s better than discovering another organization with aligned values? Discovering that your methods of accomplishing your shared goal are complimentary.

That’s why Benefab® has partnered with Holistic Animal Studies (HAS) by offering certified HAS practitioners the opportunity to become Benefab® Practitioner Affiliates. Now, the HAS practitioners can share the benefits of far-infrared therapy with their patients and beloved pets, which will in turn, increase the duration of their treatments through Benefab’s far-infrared and magnetic therapeutic products.

What Benefab®’s Founder, Kat, Has to Say About Holistic Animal Studies:

“I enjoy reading and learning new things, but I very much value research, accolades, and most importantly, experience. When meeting Dr. Barbara, it was apparent that our values and missions were aligned. A large part of my journey has been educating people around the world on the benefits of wearable wellness. I admire her tenacity to do the same in her space. Furthermore, the accessibility of her courses through the online portal creates a seamless experience for users—Something that I think is important when studying from home.”
