My horse has always had a sensitive poll. I recently got a poll pad and I am very pleased! He puts his head down for the bridle, he is more comfortable riding; stretches down, and for the first time in 5 years I was able to actually clip his bridle path. I really love this product!

I liked this product when used with the bridle. It helps to “warm up” the poll. When used with the halter I found that the band would slip and cause rubbing. I use it on the halter only when grooming in the ties now.

I have a horse with severe TMJ. He benefited from the poll pad when used on his poll, but I got the most benefit from putting two of these pads on either side of the bridle when schooling- It made a massive difference and he licks and chews when the bridle goes on now and is much softer altogether.

I got the poll pad just to see how my horse would respond. He’s not stiff but he carries tension throughout his neck. Having just purchased the scrim I wasn’t ready to make another big purchase with the hood. I leave a halter with the poll pad on him for a few hours a day in the stall. He seems so much happier. He’s always been cranky in his stall and would lay his ears back when anyone walked by (he’s actually very sweet. All bark no bite). But since he started wearing the poll pad, he’s in a much better mood and doesn’t get cranky in the stall. It’s so easy to use, just put the halter on and go. I can’t say exactly what it’s helping, but it definitely is. I’m glad I purchased it!

I purchased the pol pad for my highly sensitive mare. She was often difficult to bridle reacting to any touch around her ears or the top of her head. When she wears the pol pad there is s difference in her mood and her willingness to allow her pol area to be touched. We are both happy we purchased the pol pad.

My mare keeps a really high head when we ride but we have been working on her collection more and more lately. Some days I would train her without the poll pad and some days I would train her with it on and I can really tell the difference! Since purchasing the poll pad I’ve noticed that my gelding is able to keep himself in a nicer frame for a longer period of time. Overall he seems much more relaxed while riding and even has a little bit of his old spark back! Very reasonably priced! We wear it every time we ride now. The bright blue color is just an added bonus that you can’t get from any of the companies that have similar items.
