They're too big for the bridle browbands. If I get them on the bridle then it makes the bridle too tight on the horses and there's no way to adjust browbands. Tried it on the poll and it really didn't seem to have any effect on the horse. I was so excited to get them. Very disappointed. May work for some but didn't work for my horses.
Hi Catherine! Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear of your disappointment. To see full affects, we recommend using the Poll Pad consistently for at least three weeks. The way you have chosen to use it (across the brow band) is excellent for anxious horses and for calming purposes as it targets the GV24 point—a natural calming acupressure point. Unfortunately, some bridles are built differently than others, so the fit may vary. Our recommendation would be to allow the ends of the Poll Pad to “hang off“ past the brow band which should allow the ends to sit just underneath the ears. That way, you will only have two pieces of Velcro on the brow band and it will not be quite so tightly fitting. Hopefully, this tip will help you find a better fit. Best to you and your horses! -The Benefab Team
Unsatisfied. My horse is irritable while wearing it. I could easily bridle and halter her now but there was stiffness and sometime tenderness. Now after wearing it she raises her head or pulls away from me.
I have poll pack, Smart poll pack, Smart Hood, Smart Scrim, I love them all. Very rarely use my BOT cooler.
Had my first dressage lesson last weekend and use the poll pad for the first time. I noticed him to be much softer. He seemed more relaxed and more focused on the lesson. Definitely will continue to use the poll pad.
I bought the new bubblegum pink pull pad. I love the color! I have been really impressed with the poll pad. I have been riding my mare everyday with the poll pad on my bridle. I have noticed my mare is a lot calmer and more focused. Very happy with the poll pad!!
